[DEMO] Hermel Youth Vocational Training Center

Youth unemployment in Hermel remains among the highest in Lebanon. This project renovates an existing community hall into a vocational training center offering short courses in electrical work, solar-panel installation, and small-appliance repair, run in partnership with local tradespeople.
The need
Limited access to practical vocational training leaves many young people in Hermel without a path to stable income.
Proposed solution
Renovate a community hall into a training center and run short practical courses taught by local tradespeople.
Objectives
Train 90 young people across two cohorts within the first year, with at least 50% placed in paid work or apprenticeships.
Expected outcomes
Improved employability and local access to skilled trades that are currently underserved in the area.
Target beneficiaries
Young people aged 18-27 in Hermel and surrounding villages.
