What this platform is

Cedar is a transparency and engagement platform for community-led projects. It is not a payment processor and does not handle financial transactions on your behalf. Financial figures shown for a project (approved budget, confirmed commitments, and similar) reflect what has been formally recorded internally at the time of viewing; where a figure has not yet been recorded, we say so honestly rather than estimate or guess. These figures are provided for transparency and are not a financial guarantee, audit, or certification.

Pledges

Submitting a pledge through this website is a non-binding expression of intent to donate. It does not create a financial obligation, and no payment is taken on this website. If we intend to follow up on your pledge, a staff member will contact you to arrange payment through a separate channel outside this website. You may withdraw a pledge at any time before payment is arranged.

Acceptable use

When using this website you agree not to:

• submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information in any form (pledge, enquiry, or donor portal application);
• attempt to gain access to any part of the site, including the donor portal, that you have not been granted access to;
• use the site to send spam, malicious content, or to disrupt its normal operation.

Donor portal access

Access to the donor portal is granted at our discretion to verified donor organizations and their contacts, by invitation. We may revoke access at any time, including if we believe an account is being misused or if the underlying donor relationship has ended.

Content and intellectual property

Project descriptions, reports, and other content published on this site belong to Cedar or the organizations it represents, unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or redistribute this content for commercial purposes without our permission.

No warranty

This website is provided “as is”. While we make every effort to keep project and financial information accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all information is complete at every moment.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Cedar is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
